got hit

got hit by a car on the way home tonight. i was in the left hand lane and a car in the right just decided to change lanes right into me. somehow i didn’t go down but the car didn’t stop either despite my yelling and fist waving. my chain somehow came off during the incident which gave me a handicap in trying to catch up to them. i finally did after about 7 lights but by that time i really wasn’t sure if i had the right car. i went up to the driver and talked to him and he’s like “i’d have felt it if i hit you”. totally shady answer if you ask me. i just turned around and went home.

on the positive i designed the new mhb waterbottle. it’s looking pretty good.

tablecloth wishlist #1

if someone were to buy me this tablecloth i would be very happy. (click on image for larger version)

sidenote: it’s not really a tablecloth, i’m not sure why i thought it was, but wouldn’t it be awesome if it was.

patty

oh yeah.  according to jacob, there’s going to be a st patty’s day alleycat on the 17th.

NAHMBS

so i know cyclingnews.com has their coverage of the the North American Hand Made Bicycle Show. But i think i got the most excited looking at the photos that mmmmmolly uploaded to her flickr account. i’m pretty sure i know what i’m most stoked on, i just can’t decide which custom stem i like the best.

tcb

so today i tcb’d.

  • got stefanie and corey’s gift for their wedding this weekend.
  • went to borders and browsed magazines for an hour.
  • went on a good cyclocross ride.  just the usual balboa park, florida canyon kind of loop.

got home at 3 and figured there was just enough time to go thrifting.  since i’m leaving for s&c’s wedding in three days i figured i should get this new suit i want sorted.  i decided to go to chula vista.  after the first 2 places i hadn’t seen a single suit.  lots of sports jackets and suit jackets but none with pants and definitely no 3 pieces.  then i’m halfway through the section at DAV and the first 3 piece i find is nice and it fits!  deal!  it was $30 but that seems ok for a suit when there are no other options.

so i then decided to go onto possibilities just in case they have some shoes or something.  well, no shoes but as i’m looking at the appliances i see a cuisinart food processer like pauls for $9.99!  to fill anyone in that doesn’t know, paul (and jessalyn) left last week and that means no more $200 food processor at the moustache house.  i have no clue how i managed to find one used less than a week after they left!

uncarbonated, room temperature beer

so the bubbles slowed towards the middle of last week, i gave the beer a couple extra days to be on the safe side and today i decided to bottle. the peliminary taste test came out good. it’s always gonna be weird tasting uncarbonated, room temperature beer though. i can’t wait for a week’s time and there are some cold ones in the refridgerator.

so paul and jessalyn moved out on wednesday. jesse has meant to have been moving in everyday for the past four. it’s 7:30pm and he’s still meant to be moving in today. the house is already changing. the two living rooms are becomign somewhat color themed. it looks like the dining room will be green and the other one orange. it looks pretty good so far. also, when we fix pauls san francisco picture, we’ll have two pictures that incorporate lighting.

so i’ve spent a while over the past week editing the cyclocross wikipedia page. you should check it out.
